The service assesses dyslexia risk using completed tasks and data about the child’s eye and finger movements. The result is not a diagnosis or a percentage probability of dyslexia. A favourable result does not rule out difficulties, and an unfavourable result does not confirm them. The screening result is not a guide for choosing treatment.

The service is developed for the U.S. market. If you use it outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with the local rules applicable to your use.

1. Who is responsible for the data

2. Information we collect

  • Adult account and contact data. The adult’s first and last name, role, email address, sign-in information, selected language and support correspondence.
  • Child profile and questionnaire. Name, date of birth, sex and questionnaire answers about language, health, development, family history, device experience and the family’s educational circumstances.
  • Screening and report data. Completed tasks, answers, timestamps, touches and finger movements, calculated coordinates, performance indicators, risk-assessment results and reports.
  • Camera data. Calculated facial geometry and eye-movement coordinates. Photos, video and audio recordings of the child are not stored or uploaded to the server.
  • Device, purchase and security data. Browser and screen settings, browser local storage, payment and access information, diagnostic logs and abuse-prevention signals.

Processing of health and development data is described in the Health Data Privacy Policy.

3. Processing purposes

Processed data support accounts, child profiles, tasks, risk assessments and reports. Purchase information supports payments, refunds and disputes. Contact and technical data support service messages, assistance, service protection and error resolution.

Training Mode data may be retained for service quality and reproducibility under the same retention and deletion rules as screening-session data. Training Mode does not create a new screening result or consume paid attempts.

4. Camera data and parental consent

An adult enters the child’s profile and questionnaire. Data from the child’s activities is collected only after parental consent is confirmed. For risk assessments and reports, we use the child’s profile and questionnaire data, calculated face and eye coordinates, touch and completion-time data, device information and results.

Camera data are processed on the device. Photos and video or audio recordings of the child are not saved or uploaded to the server. Facial geometry and eye-movement coordinates are calculated on the device. Calculated data are sent to the server instead of images.

5. Adult authority

Consent is given during registration and account confirmation. It covers the children for whom the user is a parent or legal guardian. Appropriate parental authorisation must be in force before a particular child’s data are collected.

6. External services

Authorised external services support data storage and technical processing, service messages and assistance. The services receive information needed for their assigned tasks and process it according to instructions and contracts. Parent and child data obtained through the service are not provided for these services’ advertising or other independent purposes. External collection of such data to track users on other websites is not permitted. Payment services process information about the adult’s purchases.

7. Reports and service emails

Preliminary and final reports are available in the parent’s secure account. A service email announces report availability and links to the account.

The annual plan includes a home support programme, an observation and activity diary and a parent reading-skills guide. Materials are sent after the first successful viewing or download of the final report covering all three screenings of the first risk assessment in the annual plan. They are sent to the parent’s verified email address. Contact support if you do not receive them. Child reports are available in the secure account.

8. Data retention periods

Facial geometry and raw measurements are stored for no more than 24 calendar months from the screening in which they were obtained. New screenings do not extend the period for earlier measurements. Child profile questionnaires are stored for no more than 36 months after the last screening. Result history without raw telemetry or the full questionnaire is stored for up to 60 months after the last screening so results can be viewed and copied. Without screenings, the questionnaire and history periods start at child profile creation. Data are deleted earlier when no longer needed for the stated purposes, when the parent requests deletion or when the law requires earlier deletion.

Incomplete training tasks are stored for up to 24 hours. Security logs and records of purchased-material delivery are stored for up to 365 days. Support correspondence is stored for up to 24 months after the case closes. Adult financial records are stored for up to 7 years after the relevant financial year ends. Evidence of a specific dispute is kept until it ends and for a further 180 days when needed to protect rights. These periods do not extend child-measurement retention. Backup copies of deleted information are cleared within 7 days and are not used by the service. Earlier deletion is carried out when required by law.

9. Access, withdrawal and deletion

A parent can view and correct data, obtain a copy, withdraw consent or request deletion of a particular child’s information without closing the whole account. Withdrawal stops new collection of the child’s data. Contact support to make a request. Support replies within one to three business days. If the law allows us to refuse a request or extend its completion period, we explain the reason and the new deadline. If you disagree with the response, contact support and ask for reconsideration.

10. Automated processing and security

Automated processing is used for dyslexia risk assessment and reports. It does not provide a diagnosis or a percentage probability of dyslexia.

Necessary cookies and browser local storage support sign-in, the selected language, saved consents and session operation. Security measures protect information. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed for an online service.

11. Notice changes

The version and revision date appear above. We notify you of material processing changes before applying them. When new consent is required, new processing does not begin before it is obtained.
