Document version: Terms of Use 4
Effective date: October 14, 2026

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and ROCKIDS COMPANY for use of rockids.school, the parent account, the dyslexia-screening service and related Rockids services (together, the “Service”).

Create an account and accept these Terms to use the service. Processing children’s data requires separate consent from a parent or legal guardian.

1. Eligibility and authority

The service is developed for the U.S. market. If you use it outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with the local rules applicable to your use. New child profiles are available for children under 13. We recommend starting at age three. An Annual plan assigned before the child turns 13 remains valid for its full paid term.

The account user must be an adult parent or legal guardian of the child. Both roles have the same rights to their children’s information. Do not share your password.

2. Purpose and limitations

The service assesses dyslexia risk using completed tasks and data about the child’s eye and finger movements. The result is not a diagnosis or a percentage probability of dyslexia. A favourable result does not rule out difficulties, and an unfavourable result does not confirm them. The screening result is not a guide for choosing treatment.

3. Accounts and authentication

Use your own account and accurate information. Tell support if you suspect unauthorised access. The service may request an authority check or restrict access to protect the child and account.

4. Screening and reports

A risk assessment includes three successfully completed screenings. Interrupted or invalid attempts do not consume paid attempts. Preliminary and final reports are available in your account. Results may change after additional screenings.

Preliminary and final reports are available in the parent’s secure account. A service email announces report availability and links to the account.

Training Mode data may be retained for service quality and reproducibility under the same retention and deletion rules as screening-session data. Training Mode does not create a new screening result or consume paid attempts.

5. Purchases and access

The Risk Assessment is a one-time $49 purchase for (1 risk assessment, 3 screenings). The Annual Plan is a one-time $99 purchase for (3 risk assessments). Its period of 12 calendar months starts when the first paid report is successfully opened after this purchase, including report details or maps, or when a paid report PDF is successfully delivered. Payment, screening and practice alone do not start the period. The Annual plan does not renew automatically and is not a subscription.

Prices are in US dollars unless checkout says otherwise. Applicable tax, discounts, and the exact amount are shown before payment. Paid access must be assigned to an eligible child and remains subject to the displayed expiry, payment status, and anti-fraud controls.

The annual plan includes a home support programme, an observation and activity diary and a parent reading-skills guide. Materials are sent after the first successful viewing or download of the final report covering all three screenings of the first risk assessment in the annual plan. They are sent to the parent’s verified email address. Contact support if you do not receive them. Child reports are available in the secure account.

Turning 13 does not end an Annual assigned earlier. It retains the full paid period under the current activation rule. New profiles are created before 13. Continuation after 13 uses only data necessary for the requested service. the teen receives an understandable notice and can exercise privacy rights.

6. Refunds and disputes

For refunds, a risk assessment counts as used after the first successful viewing or download of its paid preliminary or final report. Starting or completing a screening alone does not count as using a risk assessment for refunds.

For an eligible partial annual-plan refund, subtract the number of used risk assessments multiplied by the standalone risk-assessment price saved when the annual plan was purchased from the amount actually paid for that plan. An annual-plan discount or promo code reduces the amount paid, not that standalone price. The refund cannot be negative. A full refund or lost payment dispute revokes the corresponding access. Applicable law and provider records determine the final outcome.

For example, excluding taxes, an annual-plan payment of $99 and a saved standalone risk-assessment price of $49 allow up to $50 after one used assessment and up to $1 after two. If a promo code reduces the annual-plan payment to $80, the amounts are up to $31 after one and $0 after two. The calculation uses the actual payment, the standalone price saved at annual-plan purchase, prior refunds and applicable law.

7. Communications and support

Support replies within one to three business days. Account, consent, purchase, report and purchased-material emails are service messages. News and promotional emails require separate consent.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to ROCKIDS COMPANY in Delaware, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue. These Terms, the Privacy Notice, and checkout terms are the agreement for the Service.

Account deletion can be requested in settings. Access closes immediately. Restoration can be requested through support during the 30-day period ending on the stated date, after which the account is deleted. Signing in alone does not restore the account. A request to delete a child’s data need not wait for the account restoration period to end. Deletion does not automatically refund payments. Restoration does not extend paid access. The Privacy Notice explains deletion scope and retention.
